story based original character.

how quickly the blade becomes you

On the 24th of December, just a day before Christmas in 2015, Kijun and his comrades had been finally caught and arrested in the Philippines for actively moving counterfeits and recreational drugs within the underbelly of the clubbing businesses in Manila. After getting transferred back to Korea and going through his trial, Kijun had been sentenced to thirteen long months spent in the detention center in Gyeonggi. While serving, to keep himself afloat, he'd sold or rented whatever he could: ranging from cigarettes to porn magazines. Near the end of his sentence, however, Kijun had managed to find himself involved in a bloody six-man fight started by two men with the intention of buying time in the form of getting his sentence extended. Which it had been, by four months due to him repeatedly stabbing and almost killing one of his proven perpetrators with a shard of shattered window glass.Prison was nothing foreign, nor surprising to him, though. Growing up with a single father who, shamelessly so, was also an ex-convict based in Japan, Kijun had been inevitably exposed and subjected to the dangers of the life his father had previously lived. He'd heard many, many stories from his father, who'd been in jail as many times as five. He'd grown to adore his old man for his bravery, and thus, no matter how hard the father had tried and tried again to keep his son away from the thick of it all, the apple had still managed to fall closer to the tree than it possibly ever could.

> Kijun would say that he's first and foremost a drug dealer, notwithstanding his former job as a bar host and the occasional pet sitting. He'd flourished into adulthood as a gangster, so this part of him is what he considers his primary identity although he has been partly inactive as a dealer for many years now.

> Morally grey; but only dabbles in the extremities of his lifestyle if it's his last resort, or if he's in imminent danger. Thinks of it as a necessary reflex for survival.

> Though mostly chill, can be extremely selfish, manipulative and cynical at times, if it means he'll get what he wants. But he's been trying to be more compassionate in the recent years, though.

> He's mostly known for his love for the thrill and knack for offense. He's very good with a knife, though the first time he'd ever taken a life with one, he'd thrown up on the scene and spent the entirety of the following days holed up in his room and bawling out his eyeballs. For obvious reasons, he doesn't like to talk about it.

> Loves learning new things, surprisingly especially if it's related to cooking. Not the best cook, however, but he does love chopping up the ingredients.

> Can sing really, really well, but he won't do it in front of anyone that's not in bathroom mirror or in company of his father. Slowly warming up to doing it for friends.

> Due to his (mostly) extroverted nature, surprising intelligence and excellent conversational skills, Kijun had quickly worked his way up within the competitive ranks of the hosting realm, at least in Seoul, as one of the most sought out hosts at his workplace–which is extremely popular among wealthy women and some men. He's excels best at keeping the drinks coming and the bank accounts draining without having to do much but listen well, flirt hard and smile.

> After his position had become one of reliability and he'd grown comfortable with work, Kijun had begun to con the women that were most unsuspecting for nothing more than some extra money; by sleeping with them and doing side favours, even experimenting with feelings of love–which he knows nothing of– thus were always faux on his end of the bargain. Even if he were caught multiple times and lost some regular high rollers, nothing much had really changed, as those gaps were always be filled anew by someone else.

> Covered in scars he'd attained through the early years when he were more active in the underworld, given respectively by blades, bullets and other miscellaneous circumstances. One of the most obvious ones includes that in his left palm, earned from his time in prison; when, out of much considerable fury and hatred, he'd gripped onto a shard of glass so hard and stabbed too many times with it held that the cutting had dug deeply enough to scar permanently. When asked by unassuming people what'd happened, he simply tells them that he had been in an accident.

> Periodically dyes his hair blonde as symbolization; an indirect statement that for as long as he is still a blonde, he's on drugs. Trying his very best to disconnect from the idea of using his hair as a messenger as of recent.

> Father of two female cats Miumiu (6) and Yumi (3), and fishes 팽이 and 버섯 (2025). Miumiu was adopted in China while Yumi was adopted in Japan, by chance and circumstance rather than intent.

> Enrolled into piano classes in July of 2023. Didn't graduate as he'd gotten too busy to maintain attendance.

> Flew to Thailand and got legally married to Joo Byungwoo on the 14th of November in 2024. Their marriage has since then been registered and legitimized in Korea.

> Independently opens a bar in 202X.
L.32, located somewhere in obscure Itaewon, mostly seeks those that are interested in experiencing a tender buzz while cloaked by the smooth silk and lustre of soul and jazz music. It's most notable features include the myriad of warm decorative lamps around the establishment, an LP player for use, and the large collection of LP vinyls shrouding the bar area. The menu is somewhat varied; consisting of more drinks than there are snacks and meals, though those available are guaranteed carefully included as consistent choices for any order combination. A special order may allow guests to play a song of choice for everyone else, directly from the LP player. The signature drink is an attempt at reinventing the suavity shared between the host and his spouse. This is where you come to unravel your heart.
